The British Museum - I object. Ian Hislop's search for dissent

Private Eye magazine editor Ian Hislop is invited to investigate the other side of history, the one that is not written by the 'winners'. Through a wide variety of objects – from graffiti on a Babylonian brick to a banknote with hidden rude words, from satirical Turkish shadow puppets to a recently acquired ‘pussy’ hat worn on a women’s march, this exhibition sheds light to what the other people had to say – the downtrodden, the forgotten, the protestors.
