Art in TV: Bloodshed in front of Rembrandt's Nightwatch!

If you happen to see the second episode (season 2) of the hit Netfilx series SENSE8, you must have seen the intense scene of the murder of Richard Wilson Croome after a long talk with series star Will (Brian J. Smith), happening in front of Rembrandt’s masterpiece The Night Watch. But if you assumed that this was a studio reproduction of the well-known halls of Rijksmuseum you are wrong since Amsterdam’s leading museum actually permitted the production team of the series to film in the premises. Tupence Middleton, who stars in the show as Riley, said “To see Rembrandt's 'The Night Watch' in the flesh during a night shoot, and to view it with all the space, time, and quiet offered to us by the museum after closing time was an experience I will never forget. We wandered the hallways of the museum in the dead of night with no one else around. It was really amazing.” We bet it was!
Sense8 is now streaming at Netflix.
