Visiting beautiful Ronda

If you happen to watch the Epix TV-series Berlin Station, starring Richard Armitage, Rhys Ifans and Ashley Judd, you might have wondered about this magnificent Spanish city appearing as the backdrop to the successful spy thriller. It is Ronda, a charming city located near Málaga, famous for the breathtaking Puente Nuevo (new bridge) standing 120 m above the El Tajo Canyon formed by the Guadalevin river.

The city is a touristic magnet for its unique identity, a mixture of medieval, Moorish and 18th century architecture. The city’s many important sights include the 13th century Arabic Bathhouse, the Plaza de toros de Ronda, the oldest bullfighting ring in the country and the mind-blowing 14th century Water Mine, a vaulted construction bringing fresh water into the city.
